Despite its size, there are many attractions in Forked River or Lacey Township. The Popcorn Park Zoo is a 7-acre zoo with a wide range of rehabilitated animals. Bears, large cats, foxes, and monkeys are among the attractions. As the animals are rescued, the assortment varies.
Nearly all of the Double Trouble State Park is within Lacey Township, although its point of access is in neighboring Berkeley Township. Home to a number of trails, it makes for a great relaxing getaway. There are also a number of other parks and marinas in the area.
Boaters will also love the area for Tices shoal, which is located by Island Beach State Park, and located within the township. It provides shallow waters and close proximity to the Atlantic, perfect for boaters. Additionally, Island Beach State Park and the Barnegat Inlet are accessible from the township.
